About
The Barefoot Violinist
Regina J. Williams - Born & raised in Chicago, Illinois. After hearing the violin for nine months in the womb, there was no holding her back. Following in the footsteps of her mother and brother, she began playing at the age of 7.
With years of classical training, rehearsals, and orchestra performances, Regina stepped away from the violin at age 22 - what was meant to be a short rest turned into 24 years.
Then everything changed. In 2008, she received a prophetic word that she would play like never before… and from that moment, “The Barefoot Violinist” was born.
Now world-renowned, Regina is a prophetic violinist known for her ability to flow across all genres, creating music that heals, shifts atmospheres, and moves people deeply.
She is also a violist, vocalist, music teacher, visual art teacher at a high school in Chicago, artist (painting and design), foreign missionary, and savvy business owner.
Regina is the Co-Founder of The Wonder Labs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving children, young adults, and individuals with special needs - providing hands-on creative experiences through sculpting, painting, music, Story Labs, and the Rethinking Weight Lab.
Through the Rethinking Weight Lab and the Rethinking Weight Podcast, she helps women release the weight that has been holding them back physically, mentally, and emotionally through honest conversations, real-life experiences, and transformational insight.
Through this work, she creates environments where creativity becomes a foundation for confidence, healing, and personal growth.
“The Barefoot Violinist” has performed throughout the United States and internationally, carrying a sound that is both powerful and deeply restorative.
During her time living in Haifa, Israel, she worked closely with Holocaust survivors and partnered with multiple Jewish organizations - playing throughout the land and blessing many through her healing and soothing music.
Music lives in her soul. Regina currently serves as a musician at Spirit of God Fellowship in South Holland, Illinois, and is a former member of recording groups Psalmist Raine & The Refresh Team and Atmosphere of Heaven (AOH). She has played behind Israel Houghton, The Binions, William McDowell, Planetshakers, The Brockmans, Just Steve, and many other recording artists.
A true missionary at heart, Regina travels the world spreading the Gospel, with missions spanning Thailand, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, the Philippines, Indonesia, Israel, St. Maarten, Anguilla, Greece, London, and throughout the United States.
Her life is anchored in one simple truth:
“I do what I LOVE… and I LOVE what I do.”
